TWG Tea, which stands for The Wellbeing Group, was founded in 2008 as a luxury concept that incorporates unique and original retail outlets, exquisite tea rooms and an international distribution network to professionals. I had the pleasure to visit the shop located in the 48 Leicester Square of London, a beautiful place to choose between the different varieties of teas, more than 800 that are classified by color: red, white, yellow, green, blue and black.
The company sells teas from different parts of the world and packaged under names such as «White House Tea» and «Singapore Breakfast Tea». Its most expensive tea, Gold Yin Zhen, is sold for NT$250,000 per kilogram.

The TWG Tea Company was co-founded by Moroccan-born Taha Bouqdib, President & CEO, Maranda Barnes and Rith Aum-Stievenard in Singapore.
The logo of the company with the date of 1837 marks the beginning of when Singapore became a trading post for teas, spices and fine epicurean products.
TWG Tea launched its first Tea Salon & Boutique in August 2008 at Republic Plaza in Singapore.
TWG Tea revolutionized the industry with its luxurious, trademark island Tea Salon & Boutique concept that launched at ION Orchard in Singapore in September 2009, incorporating a glamorous tea salon, a retail boutique and a takeaway patisserie counter.
The British shop also offers the same products, the glamour and the exquisite treat that all the Tea Salon and Boutiques.
