The villages of the French Riviera can often surprise those of us who like to discover more. Today it has been an adventure to find the beauty of a stone village, full of harmony and light, such as Saint-Paul de Vence.

This beautiful setting offers extraordinary moments that can be captured in photos to remember. But one of the things that most attracted my attention was the large number of Art Galleries with works of different styles, artists, qualities and prices, but all with the secret offering that all of them are authentic pieces made with professionalism and love.

This amazing village is one of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, it is well known for its modern and contemporary art museums and galleries such as the Fondation Maeght, and for the 17-century Saint Charles-Saint Claude chapel, which in 2012-2013 was decorated with murals by French artist Paul Conte.

The beautifully patterned cobblestones are one of the characteristics of this artistic village that could well be in any art gallery.

It can be find all kinds of paintings and sculptures that will delight art lovers.

Saint-Paul is also well known for the artists who have lived there, such as Jacques Raverat, Gwen Raverat and Marc Chagall and more recently the couple Bernard-Henri Lévy and Arielle Dombasle.

As an anecdote, the American comic actors Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner were married in Saint-Paul-de-Vence by its mayor on 18 September 1984.

Saint-Paul de Vence is also a wonderful place to enjoy a good meal at Le Saint-Paul Restaurant and delicious Vietnamese dishes at Le Lotus d’Or.

And for those interested in learning more about its history, culture and traditions, there is nothing better than connecting with its Tourist Office https://www.saint-pauldevence.com/en/history/.
