When HSH Prince Rainier III began this wonderful collection of vintage cars, it was 1950 and the Principality of Monaco was shining brighter than the stars in the sky. His passion for cars, for their designs, extraordinary shapes and majesty, made him start this incredible collection that is unique in the world.
At first, it was located in the garage of the Prince’s Palace, but it grew over time and the place became too small for such an extraordinary collection of more than a hundred superb automobiles with monumental or sports silhouettes, majestic bodies, gleaming hoods and royal bars. .
So in 1993, HSH Prince Rainier III decided to share his passion with the public and the entire collection became part of a new 5,000-square-meter environment in the Terrasses de Fontvieille.
The experience is indescribable!
I have been lucky enough to visit it quietly, being able to admire the wide range of different automobiles and accessories that, from the past, remind us of the evolution of a society that adored means of transport that were not just machines, but authentic jewels to enjoy.
The royal carriages, motorcycles, cars, helmets, accessories, memories of a wonderful past where the beauty of life flourished in every corner of the Principality.
A splendid collection not to be missed by all car and Monaco lovers.
