Sousse celebrates the success of the international visual arts forum that is an event organized by the National Association for the Supervision of Young People.

This forum is an artistic, cultural and scientific event organized by «the national association for the supervision of young people» the higher institute of fine arts of Sousse and the university of Sousse under the supervision of the ministry of higher education and of scientific research and the ministry of tourism and handicrafts.
The meeting consists of an open workshop about the plastic arts where about fifty artists from 16 Arab and European countries have produced works that take up the main artistic currents in the field of the plastic arts.
It should also be noted that during the event a scientific seminar entitled “Visual arts and design in Arab countries: reality and aspirations” was organized.
14 interventions in Arabic and French illuminated the specificities of the plastic arts.
The seminar was followed by an in-depth discussion on how to establish bridges of communication in order to strengthen cultural and artistic exchanges between Arab countries.
The major players in future events in order to make more accessible exchanges of experiences and artistic knowledge between East and West, culture should not be confined by borders that limit its sharing, this partnership is a mean that allows artists and collectors from around the world to find themselves more easily in the future around a prestigious event.
In the program, tourism and cultural visits to some cultural and historical sites of Tunis and Kairouan were organized to share the history and cultural historical heritage of the country with the participants.
A major exhibition of craftsmanship was organized for Tunisian women artisans.
Within the framework of cultural exchanges and relations, the participants attended a ceremony to celebrate the national day of Saudi Arabia, a strong gesture to share joy and a strong symbol of friendship between the participants and the countries so that culture, art and sharing will be the common motto in the future.
The work of the artists was highlighted by a large collective exhibition and a vernissage in honor of the artists who celebrated this event by the presentation of trophies and certificates.
At the end of this occasion, the organizers and the participants agreed to write an academic scientific manual that will be taken as a reference for art students in Arab countries.
Finally, a big thank you to the state of Iraq who took care of printing the book.
Thanks to the considerable efforts of Mr. Saad Eddine Alia, the president of the National Association for Youth Training, cultural partnership contracts between Tunisia and other Arab countries (Libya, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc.) have been signed for future artistic projects for the year 2023.
