Mandarin Oriental, located in Barcelona, is a five star hotel located in the city’s commercial and entertainment district of Passeig de Gràcia. Several of the city’s major tourist attractions are located close to the hotel, including the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas and Gaudí’s La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. It is a renovated mid-20th century building with elegant interiors designed by the famous and revered Patricia Urquiola.
The hotel was conceived to be of high quality rather than luxurious to give the client a remarkable sense of environmental comfort, offering a mixture of tradition and contemporaneity, with innovative materials and treatments, with mixtures of textures, lattices, handwoven carpets like the great classic luxury hotels.
The Blanc Restaurant is quiet, bright, elegantly white and the decor is as impressive as its menu.
Located in the central part of the hotel, Blanc offers a culinary service throughout the day designed by Chef Carme Ruscalleda, whose philosophy focuses on the use of first-class natural products cooked with respect and inspiration.
You can enjoy a delicious breakfast or have a coffee in the afternoon with cupcakes or sandwiches.
Moments Restaurant, its second restaurant, offers the art of the best gastronomy through Chef Carme Ruscadella and his son Chef Raül Balam.
With its two Michelin stars, the Moments restaurant continues to win prizes and devotees thanks to its creative, fresh and healthy cuisine inspired by the catalan culinary culture.
In Moments, you can customize the food, leaving the guidelines established in the menu. The details are very important and a lot of thought was given to the Japanese public, creating a menu to eat in just 45 minutes which is the time they use for lunch at noon.
The tables of the restaurant are dressed with delicately ironed white tablecloth. The Riedel glassware is chosen appropriately for each wine ordered by the customer. And to touch the perfection, virgin cotton hand wipes are available to use after manual dishes.
The spa of the hotel, located on the -1 floor, occupies an area of one thousand square meters and is a minimalist space with light oriental touches, equipped with low lighting, which combines black and white with the warmth of wood.
Mandarin’s Spa
Created as an oasis of tranquility in the center of the city, the Spa is possibly the most serene space that can be found in the center of Barcelona. With a two-lane and 12-meter swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, it is the ideal place to swim. The spa offers different treatments and holistic therapies designed to relax.
The 98 rooms available at the hotel, enjoy excellent views of the Paseo de Gracia by one of its facades and an interior courtyard of the typical block of Barcelona’s Ensanche on the other.
